Lubelska Wytwórnia Dźwigów Osobowych Lift Service S.A. was established in 1991, drawing its foundations from the experience and tradition of the Lifting and Installation Cooperative, whose history dates back to 1975. Since the beginning of its existence, the company has been rooted in Lublin, where its headquarters is located. This is where the heart of the company beats – the production plant, employing over 200 qualified employees who create hundreds of modern lifting devices every year, reaching both the Polish and foreign markets. In response to the dynamically changing needs of the market, in 2019 we established a modern production plant, equipped with the latest technologies and advanced machinery, which allowed us to significantly increase our production and innovation capabilities. Thanks to constant work on improving our solutions, we proudly maintain the position of the leader in the number of lifts sold. We spare no resources for the technological development of our products, actively cooperating with leading research and development centers both in Poland and abroad.

The germ of the idea to create an automation company appeared in 1988, when the construction company “Horizon” undertook the project of a modern vehicle inspection station in Serres – the exorbitant price of the planned automatic doors inspired a team of engineers to a bold, almost crazy action. In 1995, Ioannis Sandros realized this vision by founding METRON LTD in the charming Nigrita, in the Serres region, where initially the business was carried out in a modest facility of less than 500 m². The year 2008 was a turning point – after a series of intensive investments, the company began designing complete, integrated elevator solutions. Only a year later, the first set of hydraulic lifts saw the light of day, and at the same time, work on complete lift systems, both with a machine room and in the modern version without it, began with great momentum.
